    Operates under the County Commission to oversee the operations of the County Rec. Park regarding hours of operation, safety issues and updating of equipment

The Upshur County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets monthly on the second Monday at 6:00 p.m.

Park and Recreation Schedule

 

Opens to public early June and closes in August before Upshur County schools are back in session.

 

Hours of Operation/Daily Admission:
Monday-Saturday 12:30-5:30 $3.00 per person
Sunday-Family Day 12:30-5:30 $2.00 per person
Monday-Family Night 6:00-8:00 $2.00 per person
(June and July—no Family Night in August)

There is no charge for children two (2) years old or younger

Concession stand will be open from 12:30—5:00 each day and 6:00—7:30 on Family Night

**Refund Policy-No refunds will be given for “bad weather” on the day of your rental. (i.e. rain, cold temperatures, etc.)
Cancellation of a pool party by the Park Director, due to thunder and/or lightning or other conditions that would prohibit your group’s use of the pool, will result in a voucher being issued to the reserving party for use by the end of the current pool season, or with permission by the Buckhannon-Upshur Park and Recreation Board, during the following season. Vouchers unused within one (1) year of issue date will be void.
