The County Commission consists of three dedicated and responsive Commissioners.  Contact and meeting information for both City and County Government is accessible here.  Meetings are open to the public and communication with government officials is highly encouraged.
The individual Departments within the Courthouse and Annex deliver high-quality service and work diligently to assist the public with their needs.  Departments are governed by their respective Elected Official that strives to uphold the commitment they made to serve the residents of Upshur County.

Volunteers


We are always looking for new groups or interested individuals to assist our rescue groups with transportation.  If you live in Morgantown, WV or Cumberland, MD and have the spare time and would like to help save the lives of our shelter animals by transporting every two weeks to Cumberland, MD or Hagerstown, MD, please contact our facility.

Volunteers are welcome at our facility as well.  Please read the policies and procedures in the left hand menu of this page.  If you are interested in volunteering, fill out an application and return it to Jan Cochran, Facility Supervisor.  Once the application is approved by Ms. Cochran, it will be forwarded to the Upshur County Commission for final approval.
