In light of the Coronavirus Pandemic, I encourage all Voters to request an absentee ballot. Pursuant to a directive by Secretary of State, Mac Warner, fear of contracting or spreading the novel Coronavirus is sufficient reason to vote an Absentee Ballot. Please mark the box:

Birth, Marriage or Death Certificates: You or an immediate family member may obtain a copy by showing a valid ID. The cost is $5.00 payable by cash or check. You can also mail your request to the address listed above. When mailing you must include the name and birth date of the person, $5.00 check payable to the Upshur County Clerk.
Marriage License: Both bride and groom must be present with valid ID's and wedding date must be less than 60 days of issuance. The cost is $56.00; a discount of $20.00 applies with proof of marriage counseling.
Recordation of any legal document, such as deeds, power of attorney, deed of trust, etc. Please contact the office of the Upshur County Clerk at the number listed above for the cost of recordation.
Copies are $1.50 for the first two (2) pages and $1.00 per page thereafter
